International Undergraduate Scholarships in Adelaide (AIUS)

The University of Adelaide has a scholarship program for international students who are just starting their undergraduate studies.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP

Only for overseas undergraduate students who are starting their studies;

Citizens of any country (excluding Australia and New Zealand) are eligible to participate.

Provides a 25% tuition price waiver for each year of the program for the whole duration of the program, up to a maximum of four years;

Each year, up to 40 scholarships are given;

Bachelor of Medicine.

Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).

Bachelor of Oral Health

Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience)

Eligible applicants who have completed Foundation Studies or secondary studies overseas or in Australia, or who are transferring into the later years of an undergraduate degree with advanced standing, are eligible to apply.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

The Adelaide International Undergraduate Scholarships selection procedure is competitive, with academic achievement serving as the primary criterion.

As a general rule, the University of Adelaide will accept applicants for a scholarship who have earned an academic level equivalent to a GPA of 6/7 (85%).

Because the scholarship program’s goal is to attract great applicants from a diverse range of countries, characteristics including citizenship and program of study may be considered in the scholarship selection process in some situations.

SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION

Applicants may apply for a scholarship at any time by filling out an online application.

Before applying for a scholarship, applicants must have obtained an acceptance letter from the university (applicants with a conditional offer may apply, but will need to accept and meet the conditions of their offer before a scholarship can be confirmed)

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit (in certain cases country of citizenship and program of study may also be taken into consideration when awarding scholarships)

Applications will be examined on a continuing basis, and scholarships will be awarded until all scholarships have been awarded.

Successful applicants will be contacted 4 to 6 weeks after submitting their scholarship application; unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.

The deadline to apply for a scholarship has passed.

The application deadline for students starting in Semester 1 (February) is January 20.

The application deadline for students starting in Semester 2 (July) is June 23.
