The University of Oulu in Finland is accepting applications for postgraduate scholarships, which are awarded to academically exceptional students on an annual basis. The Finland scholarships are for students pursuing a Master’s degree at one of the University of Oulu’s two-year international Master’s programs.
Tuition fees must be paid by students who are not nationals of an EU/EEA member state.
A student must have completed 55 ECTS by the end of the preceding academic year in order to keep the scholarship in the next year of study. If a student fails to meet this criterion, they will be required to pay the entire foreign tuition cost in order to complete their Master’s degree program. If a student has been given approved leave from studies, an exception to this requirement can be established (e.g. due to serious illness).

Timeframe for applications: January 5, 2022 – January 19, 2022 (15.00 GMT +2).
DURATION
Is it offered on a yearly basis? Yes The scholarship will last for one academic year and will cover the full cost of foreign tuition.
ELIGIBILITY
International countries are eligible? Yes they are. Candidates who meet the following criteria are also eligible to apply for a University of Oulu IM Scholarship 2022/2023:
Citizens from outside the EU/EEA who do not have a permanent residence permit in Finland.
The applicant has completed their first academic degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) from a recognized higher education institution.
The candidate demonstrates a high level of English language skills.
Methods of demonstrating linguistic proficiency that have been approved.
During the application period, applicants who are in their final term/semester of study are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
A conditional scholarship offer will be made to applicants who earn a conditional offer of study placement for a Master’s degree.

CONDITION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP?
The tuition charge does not include living expenses such as housing, food, or transportation. Every student is responsible for covering their own living expenses.
HOW TO APPLY?
The International Finland Scholarships do not require a separate application. The Student Application Form must be completed by all applicants for Master’s degree programs at the University of Oulu. Applicants for the University of Oulu International Master’s Scholarship must also fill out the “Application for Scholarship,” which is located at the bottom of the Student Application Form. Without the Student Application Form, the International Master’s Scholarship application form cannot be completed and/or submitted.
