Merit Scholarships for Outstanding International Students in Amsterdam 2022/2023
The University of Amsterdam strives to attract the best students from all around the world to its international classrooms. An Amsterdam Merit Scholarship is available to outstanding students from outside the European Economic Area.

Master’s Degree from the University of Amsterdam
The deadline is January 15, 2022. (annual)
Netherlands is a great place to study.
The program will begin in September 2022.

Communication
• Economics and Business
• Humanities
• Law
• Medicine
• Psychology
• Science
• Social Sciences
• Child Development and Education
International students from outside the EU/EEA are the target audience.
SCHOLARSHIP WORTH AND BENEFITS
The scholarship might range from €2,000 to €25,000, depending on the faculty.
The Holland Scholarship, of which the University of Amsterdam is a member, can sometimes be used to enhance the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY
Students with a non-EU/EEA passport who have applied to the University of Amsterdam for a degree program may apply for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship.

Application Process
Applications should be sent to the Graduate Schools’ Admissions Offices. On the Faculty or Graduate School websites, you can find detailed eligibility requirements, selection criteria, and application processes. Scholarship applications have different deadlines depending on the faculty. Except for a few, most faculties have a deadline of 15 January 2022, while others have a deadline of 1 March 2022.
